Bhubaneswar, Mar 12:
Panic gripped the passengers of the New Delhi-Bhubaneswar Rajdhani Express scheduled to arrive in Odisha capital today after smoke filled a coach of the train on Friday evening.
The incident was detected near Khurja station near Ghaziabad by the passengers of the New Delhi-Bhubaneswar Rajdhani Express.
Finding smoke filling the coach the passengers became terrified that the train had caught fire.
After the passengers complained to the railway authorities, the train was stopped at Khurja station and passengers were asked to vacate the compartment.
After a thorough check was undertaken by the railway officials it was found that the cause was brake binding, according to ECoR sources.
The fault was minor and this is a common problem in express trains. There is no cause for worry and the train will be arriving at its scheduled time in Bhubaneswar today, ECoR officials have said.
