Mumbai/Bhubaneswar: After five persons linked to a Bhubaneswar-based prominent businessman were charred to death in a massive fire this morning, another inferno broke out at Odisha Bhawan in Mumbai on Thursday evening.
According to reports, the fire broke out at room no -203 on the second floor of Odisha Bhawan, located at Swami Pranabananda Marg in Navi Mumbai.
Prima facie, short circuit is believed to be the reason behind the blaze but the exact cause of the fire is yet to be known.
Notably, no loss of life was reported.
Built over 2,761 sq metres, Odisha Bhawan, is a G+4 (ground plus four storey) structure, having 24 air-conditioners fitted to the entire building, double bedroom rooms, three dormitories of six beds each, four suites, apart from an air-conditioned multi-purpose hall, a library, four shops and other facilities.
Odia people particularly those suffering from health problems, prefer to stay in the guest house while undergoing treatment in Mumbai.
