Dharmagarh: In a tragic incident, a farmer of Tumara village under Golamunda police limits in Odisha’s Kalahandi district was electrocuted to death after coming in contact with an 11 KV wire while working at his farmland this morning.

The deceased was identified as Kado Teji.

According to police sources, Teji came in contact with the high-tension wire which had snapped and fallen on the farmland earlier.

Tension gripped the area following his death as irate locals blocked Sinapali-Tumara road demanding compensation for the family of the deceased placing the body on road.
