Bhubaneswar, Aug 23
The department of Higher Education has asked all districts collectors to set up district level committees within a month to look into formation of Examination Management Hubs (EMHs).
Setting up of EMHs was one of the reforms proposed by the department for Plus II level and was recently approved by the state government.
The department would set up 200 EMHs where question papers will be stored prior to the examination. Each hub will comprise four to five colleges and all other examination centres identified by the Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE) would be tagged to the EMHs.
A district-level committee comprising Collector, SP, deputy secretary of the respective zone and four college principals in the district would select colleges for formation of EMH on the basis of infrastructure, manpower and their proximity to police stations.
The EMHs would be declared a temporary treasury by the government, departmental sources said.
While the Collectors have been asked to look into formation of the district committees within one month, all the reforms will be implemented before February next year, said departmental sources.
