He was found hanging inside his house.

The incident happened when no one was at home. His wife Prabha Jachak had gone to Bhubaneswar to see a relative who is under treatment in a private hospital.

After she  returned to Cuttcak, Mrs Jachuk  found the door of her house locked from inside and her husband not responding to her repeated calls to open the door.

DGP Prakash Mishra, Commissioner of Police  Dr RP Sharma, DCP Sanjay Arora, Commandant of the 6th  OSAP Battalion Lingaraj Parida and other senior police officers visited Jachak’s home to express their condolences.

There is no clarity yet on what led Jachak to end his life.
