Bhubaneswar: While the agitation by block grant school and college teachers demanding abolition of block grant system entered its 14th day today, Odisha Higher Education Minister Ananta Das said that it will be difficult to implement equal pay for equal work in reality though the government has accepted the principle.
“Discussion between the government and block grant school and college teachers is on and a solution may evolve any moment. Though the government has accepted the principle of equal pay for equal work it will be difficult to implement it in reality,” stated Das talking to reporters here in his reaction on the ongoing agitation by block grant school and college teachers.
Despite heavy rains, the agitating teachers continued with their dharna at the lower PMG square which entered its 14th day today.
Agitating block grant teachers on Monday decided to observe teachers’ day as black day and involve students and parents in their protest.
