EOW moves Odisha govt seeking attachment of Rs 63 cr of Hi-Tech Group

Bhubaneswar: The Economic Offences Wing (EOW) of the Odisha Crime Branch today moved the state Finance department for attachment of Rs 63.55 crore deposited by Tirupati Panigrahi, Tirupati Choudhury and Madhusudan Panigrahi, Managing Director and Directors of Hi-Tech Group of Companies, in Supreme Court for getting bail in connection with a land fraud case.

After deposition of the amount, the Odisha government had moved the apex court seeking permission for attaching the amount for equitable distribution among the duped investors.

The SC had on July 25 permitted the state government for the attachment.

In pursuance of the orders of the Supreme Court, the EOW has moved the government for issuing ad-interim attachment order in respect of above amount so that it can be equitably distributed among duped investors.
