With an aim to provide comfortable journey to the commuters during Summer and to avoid rush in different regular trains leaving from or passing through Odisha, the East Coast Railway (ECoR) has introduced nine summer special trains towards different destinations of the country from its jurisdiction including running of weekly premium super fast special trains.
According to an ECoR release today, 00851 Bhubaneswar-Yesvantpur weekly premium super fast special train will leave Bhubaneswar at 12 (noon) on every Wednesday between May 7 and June 25 and arrive at Yesvantpur at 1100 hours on Thursdays.
08401 Puri-Santragachhi special train will leave Puri at 2125 hours on every Friday between April 4 and June 27 and arrive at Santragachhi at 0630 hours on the next days.
08301 Sambalpur-Yesvantpur Special train will leave Sambalpur at 0850 hours on every Wednesday between April 2 and June 25 and arrive at Yesvanpur at 1630 hours on the next days.
02815 Bhubaneswar-New Delhi Special train will leave Bhubaneswar at 0810 hours on every Sunday and arrive at New Delhi at 0605 hours on every Monday from June 29.
02727 Visakhapatnam-Secunderabad special train will leave Visakhapatnam at 1905 hours on every Saturday between April 19 and May 31 and arrive at Secunderabad at 0750 hours on the next day.
08503 Visakhapatnam-Secunderabad special train will leave Visakhapatnam at 1905 hours on every Monday between March 31 June 30 and arrive at Secunderabad at 0750 hours the next day.
08501 Visakhapatnam-Secunderabad special train will leave Visakhapatnam at 2300 hours on every Tuesday between April 1 and June 24and arrive at Secunderabad at 1145 hours on the next day.
02851 Saantragachhi-Ernakulam special train will leave Santragachhi at 1615 hours on every Saturday between April 12 and June 28 and arrive at Ernakulam at 0600 hours on Mondays.
02863 Howrah-Yesvantpur Special train will leave Howrah at 1100 hours on every Monday between April 21 and June 30 and arrive at Yesvantpur at 1600 hours on Tuesdays.
Apart from this, ECoR has also augmented additional coaches permanently in different important trains towards different destinations of the country from its jurisdiction according to the feasibility and demands from the passengers.
Based on the analysis of the Passenger Traffic Profile (PTP) on various routes, both permanent and temporary augmentation of coaches in Mail/Express trains is being done by attaching more coaches, the release added.
