Dharmendra urges Odisha CM to consider 108 Ambulance staff demands

Bhubaneswar: Union Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has written to Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik urging the latter to consider various demands of 108 Ambulance Service staff in the state.

Pradhan had received a petition from Manoj Kumar Sahoo, Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) from Balangir, and other EMTs of the ambulance service over non-payment of wages and other issues.

The Union Minister has reiterated the demands of the staffs in the letter to the CM.

The major demands include payment of wages on fixed date, overtime allowance, provision of PF, annual increment, payment of TA/DA, provision of holidays/day-off to relievers and repairing of ambulances and equipments.

Pradhan has requested Patnaik to take up the matter for necessary action to redress the grievances.
