Deepak Gupta case : Keonjhar jail supdt asked to explain

Bhubaneswar, Feb 27:
The department of Prisons on Wednesday sought a detailed report from the superintendent of the Keonjhar district jail as to how Deepak Gupta, the prime accused in the Rs 18,000 crore Uliburu mining scam managed to stay on furlough for as long as 103 days out of his total jail custody of 167 days by citing medical reasons.

Additional IG, Prisons, Bishnu Charan Prusty told  media persons that a complete report in this regard, with the details of how he managed to move out of the hospital inspite of deployment of  guards to attend to him  has been sought from the superintendent of the Keonjhar district jail.
