Bhubaneswar, Jan 2:
Members of Communist Party of India (CPI) on Thursday staged a protest at the Rajmahal square here against the sudden and big hike in the prices of cooking gas as well as the government’s decision to make Aadhar card compulsory for availing subsidy on the LPG cylinders.
Condemning the decisions of the UPA government and oil companies, Sura Jena, Secretary, Bhubaneswar zonal committee of the CPI said, the hike in LPG price and linking LPG it to Aadhar card are a huge blow to the consumers.

Jena said if these anti-people decisions are not withdrawn immediately, his party will launch a state-wide agitation.
