Jeypore: A home guard constable allegedly attacked a tehsildar with a knife in Odisha’s Koraput district today, leaving the latter grievously injured.
According to reports, while Nandapur tehsildar Subrat Panigrahi was standing in front of his office, a home guard constable of Padua Police Station Dumu Khemunu stabbed him with a knife on his chest and belly.
Panigrahi who was profusely bleeding has been admitted to the nearest hospital.
Khemunu has reportedly attacked Panigrahi over a land dispute.
Meanwhile, Khemunu has been arrested by the police.
