Bhubaneswar, Feb 3 :
In a surprise move, the Congress on Monday served a no-confidence notice against the Naveen Patnaik government accusing it of failing the state and its people.
Harichandan said his party hopes the Speaker would take up the matter on Wednesday after the question hour and allow a debate on the failures of the state government.
Dismissing the notice served by the main opposition, Government Chief Whip Pravat Kumar Tripathy said the notice can be taken up only if it is in consonance with the provisions of the Rules of the Business of the House. He ridiculed the idea saying “they do not have the numbers, nor any logic to do so.”
