Bhubaneswar, Aug 27
Rajya Sabha Congress member Rama Chandra Khuntia has severely criticized the Odisha government for its faulty implementation of KBK schemes.
Raising the issue during Zero Hour in Rajya Sabha, he claimed that there is no development in the education, transport, irrigation and health conditions in the undivided Kalahandi, Balangir and Koraput districts even after around Rs 2,000 crore had been spent during last 18 years under various Central and state-sponsored schemes.
He urged the Centre to send a high level committee to probe into the matter.
Khuntia also asked as to why the office of the Western Odisha Development Council (WODC) is operating at Bhubaneswar while it should be set up at Sambalpur.
