The local Met office here has predicted intense cold wave conditions in some parts of interior Odisha in the next 48 hours under the influence of moderate rainfall in the state on Sunday.
Meanwhile, the rainfall recorded till 8.30 am today was the highest at Baleswar with 60.4 mm followed by Cuttack (42.6 mm), Baripada (34.6 mm), Keonjhargarh (27.7 mm), Talcher (26 mm), Angul (25 mm), Bhubaneswar (24.7 mm), Chandbali (23.4 mm), Bolangir (16.3 mm), Phulbani (15 mm) and Paradip (11.4 mm).
The state-wide rainfall was due to the impact of a cyclonic ring formed over Chhattisgarh-Jharkhand region.
