Bhubaneswar, Mar 4:
Even as CBI continued questioning top cops of Odisha Police for alleged involvement in chit fund scam for the second day yesterday, Odisha Police DG KB Singh today declined to comment on the issue.
“CBI investigates its cases and decides whom to question. We have nothing to do with it and I would not like to comment on it. Let them do their job,” said DGP KB Singh.
Notably, while Central Range IG RP Koche was grilled by the top investigating agency of the country on March 2, OSAP IG Sanjeeb Kumar Panda was questioned last evening.
Speaking to reporters yesterday, Koche had confessed that the agency is grilling him in connection with Seashore chit fund scam. Panda, however, has not issued any statements pertaining to the questioning so far.
Earlier CBI questioned the then west-central range DIG Rajesh Kumar and now suspended SP Satish Gajbhiye along with many junior police officers.
Many other IAS, OAS officers were also under CBI radar after their names popped up in a diary seized from the residence of power broker Subhankar.
