Over a hundred cows were rescued today during illegal trafficking in Odisha capital.

The police rescued the cows near Palasuni square in Bhubaneswar and sent those to Goshala in Choudwar.

The cows were being transported illegally in a container and one died out of suffocation.

According to report, the activists of Bajrang Dal stopped the container near Palasuni following reports of alleged illegal trafficking of cattle to Kolkata.

However, five cattle traffickers including the driver managed to flee the spot.

The Mancheswar police seized the container and sent the cows to Goshala.
