Sambalpur, Aug 11:
Cartoons posters of Union Petroleum Minister Dharmendra Pradhan were found at several places in Odisha’s Sambalpur city this morning.
According to reports, Pradhan has been criticized on the Mahanadi issue in the posters. This apart, the Union minister has been blamed of having no concern for Odisha in the posters.
However, those who have pasted the posters are yet to be identified.
“Such kind of incidents are not acceptable in a democratic country. The posters have proved that political intolerance has increased. As per norms, posters should bear the names of the printer and publisher. But, this hasn’t happened in this case. The posters have been pasted with an intention to malign the image of the minister,” said BJP’s national secretary Suresh Pujari.
“Some BJP workers have filed a complaint alleging that leaflets bearing the image of Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan have been pasted on several walls in Sambalpur city. We have received the complaint. We are enquiring into the matter,” said Gagarin Mohanty, SDPO, Sambalpur.
