Dispute between two groups of private bus operators in Odisha’s Umerkote has left the commuters in the lurch.
The passengers waiting for buses to leave for their destinations from here were seen stranded at various places in the town today.
Notably, bus operators have called for a strike following dispute between two private bus associations over collection of union fee from them.
The agitating bus owners said that the strike will continue till the matter is resolved. Several owners owing allegiance to the bodies sat on a dharna here today.
Meanwhile, local police have arrested four persons in connection with the chakka jam dharna called by the operators.
