Bus services from Puri to other towns of Odisha except Cuttack was resumed today by private bus staff of the pilgrim town, informed Nilagiri Motor Employees Association secretary Hrushikesh Panigrahi.
A decision over bus service from Puri to Cuttack will be taken at a meeting on April 7, the secretary said.
Transport Minister Ramesh Majhi said a meeting chaired by IG (Central Range) will be held on April 7, which will be attended by RTO, bus owners and members of employees association.
The issue will be tried to be sorted out in the meeting, the minister said.
Notably, private bus staff of Puri had resorted to a cease-work stir protesting assault on a Puri bus staff at the Cuttack bus terminal a few days ago.
The incident had taken place over an issue of bus halting duration at Puri and Cuttack bus stands.
