Cuttack, Mar 11:
Aware of the last year’s faulty evaluation of the annual High School Certificate (HSC) papers which had triggered widespread resentment in Odisha, the Board of Secondary Education (BSE) this year has made elaborate arrangements for error-free evaluation.
As per the decision, the Board would prepare a database of all examiners to be engaged in the valuation. Besides, all chief examiners, deputy examiners, examiners and those involved in the valuation would be provided with identity cards with a special identity code.
The Board would provide the list of the examiners to the District Education Officers (DEOs) 30 days before the commencement of the valuation.
The Board has asked the concerned school headmasters to given special attention to ensure that not a single examiner remains on leave on the pretext of illness.
To ensure error-free evaluation, the Board will conduct an orientation programme for the examiners 2-3 days before the evaluation begins.
To ensure full-proof security during evaluation, CCTV cameras would be installed in rooms where the valuation would be held.
The Board has fixed specific time for the opening and closure of the Centre. The main gate of the centre would be closed at the time of the valuation. No examiners would be allowed to go outside the centre during valuation.
Apart from this, the Board has decided to form special squads to oversee valuation in these centres.
