Bhubaneswar: The Sub Divisional Judicial Magistrate (SDJM) Court here today granted conditional bail to Pratap Panda, chief of Panda Infra, the company that had undertaken the construction work of Bomikhal flyover in Odisha capital whose iron rods collapsed last month killing a labourer and injuring another.
The Court granted bail to Panda against a surety of Rs 50,000.
The Court has directed Panda not to influence any of the witnesses and appear before the local police station every 15 days.
Panda had surrendered before Laxmisagar police on May 4 following which he was arrested under Sections 304, 337, 338 and 34 of IPC and lodged in the Jharpada Special Jail here.
He was arrested in a similar case earlier in September, last year as a portion of the flyover had caved in leading to death of a person.
Notably, a labourer died and another was critically injured after a pile of iron rods fell on them near the under-construction flyover bridge on May 3 evening.
