Bhubaneswar: In the wake of negative consequences of Blue whale game on internet, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has prohibited usage of internet and smartphones on premises of schools and school buses.
Earlier, the CBSE has issued a circular to schools directing the authorities to monitor the use of internet and smartphones.
In the directive, the school authorities have been asked to allow the students to use the computers for study purposes only.
Obeying the CBSE directive, the use of smartphones has been restricted in school buses and schools affiliated to CBSE in Odisha.
The initiative was taken in view of panic created among parents following rising number of death of children across the country.
