New Delhi, Feb 6 :
The BJP and CPI-M Thursday blamed the Congress for the repeated disruption of parliament, as both houses lost another day over Telangana and other issues.
“Their chief minister (Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy) is sitting on a protest. Their members are storming the well of the house,” he said.
Communist Party of India-Marxist (CPI-M) leader Sitaram Yechury said the Congress party needed to put its own house in order to make parliament function.
“It is the second day of this session, and parliament is not functioning. Unless Congress settles the issues within its own party on Telangana, this session will not function,” Yechury said.
He added that the government had no intention to pass any bills in this session, and just wanted to send across the message that it was willing to pass the bills but could not do so due to disruptions.
“They have no intention to pass any bill. They are using it as a platform to launch their election campaign,” Yechury added. (IANS)
