Bhubaneswar: Ruling BJD in Odisha is all set to launch its Jana Sampark Padayatra from tomorrow on occasion of Gandhi Jayanti to reach people and make them aware of the programmes and schemes launched by the state government.
The farmers’ issues and oil price hike will be the key issues that will be raised by the BJD leaders during 10-day-long padayatra.
Senior BJD leader Prasanna Acharya, who is also the MP in Rajya Sabha, said that the padayatra was not new for the party and people of Odisha. Thousands of people will join the programme.
The party will inform people about Centre’s step motherly attitude towards farmers and oil price hike, he said.
The Jana sampark padayatra, scheduled to be launched by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, will conclude on Jayaprakash Narayan’s birth anniversary on Oct 11.
