Bhubaneswar, April 9:
Odisha’s ruling party, the Biju Janata Dal (BJD) today moved the Election Commission of India accusing the BJP of violating the model code of conduct by publishing advertisements in various newspapers while the campaign process for the first phase polls ended yesterday.
“An advertisement of BJP carrying the image of Narendra Modi and State president KV Singhdeo has been published in various newspapers. Singhdeo is contesting from Patnagarh seat, which is going to polls on Thursday,“ said BJD vice president Kalpataru Das after meeting CEO here.
He also urged the CEO to take action against the party for poll code violation.
