ASI team to study quake impact on Sri Jagannath temple today

Bhubaneswar, May 22 :

An Archaeological Survey of India ( ASI) team will visit the Sri Jagannath temple in Puri on Thursday to find out if the magnitude-5.8 quake,  that rocked Odisha on Wednesday night,  has affected the structure of the 12th century shrine in any manner, the chief administrator of the temple and secretary Culture, Arabinda Padhee said.

The 12 th century holy temple is currently undergoing repair and renovation work under the supervision of the ASI.
