Bhubaneswar, Oct 2:
Chief minister Naveen Patnaik on Tuesday honoured Ama Odisha for achieving the highest collection of blood in the state.
Receiving the award at the National Voluntary Blood Donation Day, jointly organized by the State Blood Transfusion Council and Odisha State AIDS Control Society (OSACS) at Jayadev Bhawan in the city here, chairman of Ama Odisha Soumya Ranjan Patnaik said “The credit goes to the blood donors who have made Ama Odisha’s blood donation campaign so very successful.”
Patnaik also thanked the organisations and the volunteers for their keen involvement in the statewide campaign over the years.
Among others, Health and Family Welfare minister Dr Damodar Rout, honourary secretary of the State Red Cross unit Mangala Prasad Mohanty, MP Prasanna Patsani, MLA, Bhubaneswar (Central) Bijay Kumar Mohanty and director of OSACS Dhiren Patnaik also spoke on the occasion.
