More than 98 percent students from Odisha have cleared the annual Indian School Certificate Examinations (ICSE) Class X examinations, the results of which were announced on Thursday afternoon.
More than 10000 students of 60 schools in Odisha had appeared the examinations conducted by the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations Council (CISCE).
The countrywide pass percentage is over 98.28 percent. 99.5 percent of girl students and 98 percent of boys have cleared the examinations.
The pass percentage in the East zone is 98.02 while is it 99.46 in the West zone, 97.3 in the North zone and 99.66 in the South zone.
The pass rate this year has bettered the previous results in the country as well as in Odisha.
Students can check their ICSE results 2014 on: http://www.cisce.org
They can also check their results on their mobile phone through SMS service by typing ICSE 1234567 along with their special ID and sending it to 0924808288.
The students would get their mark-sheets in a week from their respective schools, sources in the CISCE said.
