8 ‘Maoists’ surrender in Koraput

Koraput, May 1:

Eight Maoists who were members of the special zonal committee of the Andhra-Odisha Border Committee of the CPI (Maoist) today surrendered before IG (South-Western) Yeswant Jethwa, said police sources.

The Maoists who are from Narayanpatna area had initially joined the Chasi Mulia Adivasi Sangh and had later become members of the Andhra-Odisha Border Committee of the CPI (Maoist), police sources revealed.

They have been identified as Lada Nachika, Keshri Kendruka, Kayu Nachika, Rabi Huluka, Ramya Kendruka, Rajya Kendruka, Sekaru Huluka and Siyu Huluka, the sources added.
