“Joining of Congress workers in BJD would certainly strengthen the party’s base and will be of help to the party in the forthcoming panchayat elections,” said senior BJD leader and former MLA from Aul Pratap Keshari Deb.

Notably, Deb had lost to Devendra Sharma of Congress in the 2014 polls to the Aul Assembly constituency.
