Balangir, Mar 7:

School and Mass Education Minister Debi Prasad Mishra today ordered for a probe over deprivation of 55 students from Plus-II exams in Odisha’s Balangir district.

The minister asked the Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE) chairman to investigate into the matter and submit report.

Action will be taken against anyone found guilty after submission of report, Mishra said.

As many as 55 students of Asbag Women’s College at Kutrapalli in the district were unable to appear in the Plus-II exam today due to non-issuance of admit cards.

Following the incident, the students and their parents staged road blockade at Maharpalli Chhak disrupting vehicular movement in Kutrapalli-Balangir route.

They also ransacked properties inside the college premises, sources said.

The college authorities have gone absconding.
