A full grown five-foot long Russell Viper was rescued from Kedar Chandra Rath’s residence in Brahmin sahi in Balianta, Khurda district of Odisha on Sunday.
On Sunday morning, when Kedar and his family members were cutting hay for sowing mushroom seeds they saw the Viper coiled in the hay stack.
They immediately informed one Biranchi Narayan, a resident of Basantapedi village, who rescued the snake and released it into the jungle.
Notaby, Russell Viper is the deadliest snake found in India.
