Two new express trains and two passenger trains were announced for Odisha in the interim Railway Budget presented by Union Railway Minster Mallikarjuna Kharge in the Parliament on Wednesday.
The two new passenger trains proposed in the budget are the Sambalpur-Bhawanipatna passenger (daily), Gunupur-Visakhapatnam passenger (daily).
As per the budget speech, total 72 new trains will be introduced in the country during this year.
The two new express trains proposed for Odisha in the budget are the Gandhi Dham-Puri Express (weekly) and Howarh-Yeshwantpur Express via Bhubaneswar (weekly).
