Bhubaneswar, Jul 24:
In compliance with the directives of the Supreme Court, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) would reconduct the All India Pre-Medical/Pre-Dental Entrance Test tomorrow in which about 37,000 students from Odisha would appear in the test.
About 6.3 lakh students in the country will appear in the test.
Students have been asked to report at the examination centres by 9.30 AM, half-an-hour before the examination starts. The examination will conclude at 1 PM.
In Odisha, the students will appear at three centres in Bhubaneswar, Rourkela and Brahmapur of which there are 33 centres in Bhubaneswar.
It may be mentioned that the Supreme Court had asked the CBSE to conduct the entrance test again following AIPMT paper leak on WhatsApp nine minutes before the examination in Haryana on May 3 this year.
Use of mobile phones has been barred and jammers have been installed inside the centres to prevent malpractice. Elaborate arrangements for frisking candidates before the exam have been put in place as well.
The CBSE has barred candidates from carrying wallets, wrist watches, goggles, hair pins, hair bands, rings, bracelets, earrings, noses-pin, large shirt buttons and water bottles. The candidates have been asked to wear slippers and not shoes.
Before entering the examination hall, students will have to pass through metal detectors.
