Bhubaneswar, Feb 1:
About 3 lakh 24 thousand students across 1343 centres in the state will appear in the Plus Two examination scheduled to begin from 3rd March, sources in the Higher Education department said today.
However, the practical examinations will start from February 17.
While 86,980 students will sit for the +2 Science exams, as many as 1,90,765 students will appear in +2 Arts exams. The number of examinees in Commerce is 27,394 while the number of students registered for Vocational and Distance Education is 10,428 and 8,894 respectively, sources informed.
Preparations for a hassle-free examination are in full swing, sources said, adding,205 Examination Management HUBs have been identified by the Council of Higher Secondary Education and CCTV cameras have been installed there for security purpose.
Besides, a three tier squad system to check malpractice will be introduced by the Council of Higher Education, sources said.
It is learnt from the sources from the CHSE that all possible efforts have been taken to publish the results in due time i.e. in the last week of June this year.
