Bhubaneswar: Pratap Panda, chief of Panda Infra, the company that had undertaken the construction work of Bomikhal flyover in Odisha capital, and two others were today sent to judicial custody after being produced before a local court here.
The bail pleas of the three– Pratap Panda, suspended Assistant Engineer Kishore Rout and project manager Vipul Chakraborty– were rejected by the court following which they were remanded to judicial custody for 14 days.
Earlier in the day, Twin City Commissionerate Police had arrested Rout and Chakraborty. Rout was arrested after he surrendered before Bhubaneswar DCP Satyabrata Bhoi.
Notably, one person was killed and around 15 others were injured when a portion of an under construction road over bridge (ROB) at Bomikhal caved in on Sunday.
