4 critical as car catches fire after hitting roadside tree in Odisha

Nayagarh: At least four people including a woman and child were critically injured after a car in which they were traveling in caught fire today in Odisha’s Nayagarh district.

The mishap took place at Panchupandav under Nuagaon police station in the district this afternoon.

According to reports, the car crashed into a tree following which the engine of the four-wheeler caught fire and then engulfed the entire vehicle.

All the four, hailing from Champeswar area in Cuttack, were admitted to the District Headquarters Hospital (DHH) in a critical condition.

Sources said the woman was behind the wheels when the accident took place.

On being informed, fire fighters rushed to the spot and doused the flame with rescuing the four who were trapped in vehicle.

Police reached the spot and started investigation.
