Sishir Gamang today held a press conference in the city where he brought startling allegations of his wife having an adulterous relationship and torturing his 12-year-old minor son.

According to sources, Sishir and Monica met in a club in New Delhi and cupid struck them. They had a courtship for a brief period followed by marriage in 2003. The fairy tale love story turned sour only six years after their marriage. The couple separated in 2012 and she left her in-law’s place along with their son and other belongings. However, she returned to her in-law’s place and pleaded before Sishir to accept her. The latter accepted her and got married again as per tribal customs and traditions in 2014. After remarriage, she returned back to New Delhi and started misbehaving with him.

Though Monica hails from Bazpur in Uttarakhand, she lives with her parents in New Delhi.

“Monica had left my house with Rs 5 lakh cash and gold jewellery worth around Rs 2.3 crore. Despite several attempts, I have failed to recover the cash and jewellery. She had been misbehaving with me and her parents threatened to make this a political issue,” the junior Gamang alleged.

Sishir claimed that he came to know that her wife had an illicit relationship with one Gourav Bhrara and have got married in February last year. Besides, she is torturing his minor son mentally and physically since 2014.

The BJP leader further alleged that Gourab happens to be a friend of his brother-in-law (sister-in-law’s husband). We got to know Gourab through my brother-in-law. He frequented our house and developed proximity with her, he alleged.

The minor victim was also present during the press conference here today.

Memebers of a city-based NGO— The Friends Foundation Trust— along with Sishir today filed a written complaint with Bhubaneswar DCP seeking action against the accused based on the statement of the minor.  This apart, he has also sought action against Monica, her parents, brother-in-law, sister-in-law and Gourav

Monica, however, refuted the allegations and termed it baseless.

“After two years of separation, he is raking up the torture issue? I got married only after getting divorce. I have all proof with me which I will produce before the court,” Monica said.
