Bhubaneswar, Nov 20:
In a major step towards use of Odia as the official language of the state, the Odisha government will launch its official website in Odia language www.odia.odisha.gov.in tomorrow.
The website will be launched during the third ministerial level meeting to be held tomorrow at the second floor conference hall of the state secretariat, said a release of the Odia Bhasa Sangram Samiti (OBSS) issued today.
The decision to launch the website is the outcome of the agreement reached between the Odisha government and the OBSS.
It may be recalled that a five-member ministerial level committee was formed on July 8 this year under directions of the Chief Minister for implementation of the Odisha Official Language Act, 1954 after eight days of a fast unto death launched by OBSS.
