The Odisha government today effected a major reshuffle in the IAS cadre.
According to a General Administration department notification, 1986 batch IAS G V V Sarma, principal secretary General Administration has been given additional charge of Higher Education, while 1987 batch IAS Rajesh Verma has been made the new principal secretary Energy.
While 1985 batch IAS Gagan Kumar Dhal has been appointed as the new principal secretary Tourism he has been given additional charge of MSME department, 1986 batch IAS Suresh Chandra Mohapatra is the new principal secretary Forest & Environment department.
Similarly, 1988 batch IAS Pradipta Kumar Mohapatra principal secretary Rural Development has been given additional charge of Special Relief Commissioner (SRC) and managing director Odisha State Disaster Mitigation Authority (OSDMA), while 1989 batch IAS Mona Sharma principal secretary Revenue has been given additional charge of Excise and 1990 batch IAS Manoj Ahuja is the new principal secretary Agriculture department and will hold additional charge of Cooperation department.
Besides, 1990 batch IAS Sanjeev Chopra principal secretary Industries has been given additional charge of chairman Idco and CMD IPICOL and 1997 batch IAS Sanjay Kumar Singh is new managing director IDCO and CEO OCAC.
Moreover, 1999 batch IAS Bhaskar Jyoti Sharma has been appointed as the new RDC (southern division) while, 2001 batch IAS Shalini Pandit has been appointed as the new managing director National Rural Health Mission.
Further, 2003 batch IAS Anil Samal is the new district magistrate and collector Angul while, 2004 batch IAS Roopa Mishra is the new Labour Commissioner and director ESI.
While 2003 batch IAS N B Jawale director Special Projects is also appointed as the new director Tourism and managing director of OTDC, 2007 batch IAS Jadhav Sachin Ramachandra Jadav is new director Shelter Mission (Rural & Urban) and joint secretary Housing and Urban Development department.
Also senior OAS officer Pramod Das has been appointed as the new district collector Baleswar.
As many as 28 IAS officers have been shifted or were given additional charges.
