Four Odisha MPs elected members of LS committees

Four MPs from Odisha have been elected uncontested as members of four committees of the Lok Sabha, BJD Parliamentary Party (BJDPP) leader Bhartruhari Mahatab announced today.

While Mahatab himself was elected as member of the Public Accounts Committee (PAC), Kendrapara MP Baijayant Panda was elected as member of Public Undertakings Committee (PUC), Bolangir MP Kalikesh Singhdeo as member of the Estimates Committee and Nabarangpur MP Balabhadra Majhi as member of SC and ST Welfare Committee.

Mahatab hoped that the demands of Odisha would be properly represented with the election of four state MPs as members of these four committees in the Lower House.

He said the Speaker would formally announce the names of the chairpersons of these committees later.
